Leadership
Commonwealth Waypoint is led by a Boston Area native whose background combines firsthand experience in the region’s leading educational institutions with entrepreneurship, admissions guidance, international living, and a broad professional network across the communities that shape a successful relocation.
A recruited Division I athlete at Harvard with graduate degrees from Stanford and Yale, their perspective reflects experience navigating highly selective academic and athletic pathways. It also includes years of advising and supporting students and families through independent elementary and secondary school admissions, college selection and matriculation, and graduate and professional school applications, including medical and business school.
Relevant for our clients relocating from Asian, Commonwealth Waypoint’s leadership studied East Asian Studies at Harvard, with an academic focus on contemporary Chinese modernization, and continued this work at the graduate level at Stanford. Subsequent professional experience has included work with prominent Chinese financial institutions and exposure to the cross-border capital considerations facing Chinese nationals and families establishing lives and allocating resources abroad.
This experience is complemented by an entrepreneurial background that includes building a business in close partnership with multiple independent schools across Greater Boston. Through that work and longstanding involvement in the region, Commonwealth Waypoint draws upon deep relationships across education, real estate, immigration law, financial services, and related professional fields to help families make informed decisions, access trusted expertise, and establish the local networks required for a successful transition to the Boston area.
